Edward Loxton Knight

Loxton Knight as born in 1905 in Long Eaton, Derbyshire where he studied at the local grammer school before entering Nottingham School of Art (1924-9). He exhibited extensively at the Royal Society of British Artists, Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours, New Group and elsewhere. He held solo exhibitions at the Brooks Treet Gallery, Chapel Bar Gallery in Nottingham and Carl Fischer Gallery in New York. Loxton Knight died in 1993 and a memorial exhibition was held at Erewash Museum, Derbyshire in 1994. His works feature in many public collections both in Britain and abroad.
