Clifford Montague
Clifford Montague was born in 1858 in Tilehurst, Birkshire, England. He studied at the London School of Art and received commissions to paint as a landscape artist in Britain, Ireland, France and the Netherlands.
Between 1883 and 1900 he held exhibitions at the Royal Society of Artists Birmingham, the Walker Gallery Liverpool, the Royal Hibernian Academy and the Royal Scottish Academy.
Montague lived in Devon before moving to Wales in 1913. He died in Wales in June 1917 at the age of 59.
