Lazzaro Pasini
Lazzaro Pasini was born in Reggio Emilia in 1861. He studied at the Accademia in Florence under Giovanni Fattori and from 1886 worked in Milan among a group of artists including the sculptor Nicola Fiore.
Pasini held many exhibitions including a show at the Esposizione Nazionale in Turin in 1884 and at an exhibition of work of the Lombard artists in Milan in 1900. In 1912, 1914 and 1922 he held further exhibitions in Venice, London, Antwerp and Leningrad.
The artist's fine attention to detail and sentimental subjects meant that his work had popular appeal. He died in Milan in 1949.
