Gerald Norden
1912-2000
Gerald Norden trained at the Thanet School of Art and the Royal College of Art, London. He went on to teach at the Sidney Cooper School of Art, Canterbury, from 1938 to 1947. He was Acting Principal at Maidstone during 1947, and Principal of the Folkestone School of Art from 1948 until its closure in 1971.
Norden is best known for his exquisite, detailed still-life paintings.
