Laura Barber-Riley
Award winning artist Laura Barber-Riley is based in Lutterworth Leicestershire where she lives with her husband and two young sons.
Laura rediscovered her childhood love of painting in 2008 and she has been busy working to produce beautiful original pieces in oils ever since.
2009 saw her debut at the Society of Equestrian Artists Annual Exhibition (Mall Galleries London), at which she was awarded the Ingleton-Beer Associates Prize for the best depiction of horse and rider. In 2011 she was awarded The Eggesford Studio Prize for the best piece of work by an artist under 35, at the same exhibition. In 2012 Laura was promoted within the Society of Equestrian Artists to become an Associate member.
Under the tuition of renowned equestrian painter Malcolm Coward, Laura has developed a real passion for painting horses from life outdoors and increasingly looks to these oil sketches to help support her work back in the studio.
